Big Morse Trainer Pro Update: Stability Fixes, Better Controls, and Smoother Training

We’ve shipped a major quality update across several training modules in Morse Trainer Pro, focused on one thing: making sessions feel reliable, predictable, and better to train with every single day.

This release is based directly on user feedback. Thank you to everyone who reported issues and suggested improvements.

What’s New

1) CW Words Trainer: Bigger Word Base + Session Control Fixes

The words trainer has been expanded and cleaned up to reduce repetition and improve long-session usability.

  • We significantly extended the English words list used for training (balanced for Morse training context and varying lengths).
  • We fixed a reported issue where Reveal Answer was not working correctly in-session.
  • We also validated and corrected session button behavior so controls work consistently during active training.

Result: fewer repeated items, better flow, and fewer interruptions during practice.

2) CW Sentences Trainer: Professional Length Selection + Double-Sentence Bug Fix

The sentences module has been upgraded to match the configurability users already had in words training.

  • Added sentence-length selection to training configuration:
    • Short
    • Medium
    • Long
  • Fixed a bug where users occasionally saw what looked like two sentences joined into one prompt during training.

Result: cleaner sentence delivery and better control over difficulty progression.

3) Callsign Trainer: New Play Count Option + Repeat Delay Controls

We’ve added a key training option that many users asked for.

  • New Callsign Play Count setting:
    • Play once
    • Play three times
  • Added repeat-delay behavior with:
    • Auto mode (same logic as CW words timing)
    • Custom mode (user-selected seconds between repeats)

In Auto mode, spacing follows dynamic timing based on speed/content (same style used in the words trainer), so repeats feel natural rather than mechanical.

Result: better support for both advanced operators (single pass) and learners who want controlled repetition.

4) CW Speech Trainer: Stop Session Bug Fixed

Page: CW Speech Trainer

A critical behavior issue was fixed in the speech module:

  • Previously, after pressing Stop Session, audio could stop but internal session flow could still continue in the background.
  • We fixed session lifecycle cancellation so stopping a session now fully terminates progression logic, timers, and pending transitions.

Result: when you stop, it actually stops.

Why This Matters

Morse training quality is not only about content volume. It’s also about trust in controls, timing, and session behavior.
If one button fails or one session keeps moving after stop, that breaks rhythm and confidence.

This update focused on exactly those pain points:

  • Better data variety
  • Better pacing controls
  • Better runtime reliability

Suggested Next Steps for Users

If you haven’t trained recently, try this quick pass:

  1. Run a medium-length session in CW Words and test Reveal + flow controls.
  2. Switch to CW Sentences and train by length category.
  3. In Callsign Training, compare 1x playback vs 3x with custom delay.
  4. In CW Speech, test stop behavior mid-session and confirm stable reset.

Thanks for the Feedback

These fixes came directly from real usage reports. Keep them coming.
If you spot anything that feels off in timing, flow, controls, or data behavior, report it — we’ll keep tightening every module.

Morse Trainer Pro keeps improving because you use it hard.
