Acoustic Character Trainer
Learn each character as a complete sound, then practise recognition and sending.
Choose your practice
Sound starts only when you choose to play it. Set a comfortable device volume first.
Learning with an instructor?
Let your instructor guide the reveal, observe your listening and sending, and add private practice notes.
This recognition round stays in this tab. Your guided lesson is unchanged.
Prepare
Set a comfortable device volume before playing sound. Headphones can make sudden tones feel louder.
Keep hearing it as one complete acoustic shape.
Keep listening for the complete sound rather than counting elements.
No sound has played.
The listening-only introduction is complete. Reveal the identity when you are ready to attach a character to the sound.
Say the character’s rhythm aloud as one connected sound, then confirm you tried it. This optional step never records your microphone.
Build the rhythm with the on-screen paddles or keyboard. Use . for dit, - for dah, Backspace to undo and Enter to check.
Using a Morserino, WinKeyer, VBand paddle or another compatible key? Open Unified TX Practice for hardware input.
Continue this character in short, varied practice rather than one long session.
