Callsign-copy guide

Rufz Web

Copy one callsign at a time, submit what you heard, and let adaptive speed and post-run coaching target the edge of reliable copy.

Quick start

  1. Select a mode and review Quick Settings.
  2. Set speed, attempt length or timer, and audio realism.
  3. Press Start Attempt; listen before typing.
  4. Press Enter to submit. Repeat is available only where the selected mode permits it.
  5. Review speed, points, accuracy, copied characters, confusion pairs, and recommended focus work.

Seven modes

  • Classic Variable: speed adapts after each answer.
  • Fixed: one speed throughout.
  • Incremental: a controlled rising-speed sequence.
  • Trainer Custom List: an uploaded callsign pool.
  • Focus Drill: prior mistakes and confusion pairs.
  • Daily Challenge: an account-bound daily seed.
  • HST Official: a locked two-attempt session.

Audio and fairness

  • Configure pitch, volume, waveform, weighting, QSB, QRM, chirp, QRN, and AGC-like behavior.
  • Safe Audio disables QSB, QRM, and chirp for predictable playback.
  • HST mode disables repeats and locks competitive settings.
  • Backgrounding pauses trainer audio and preserves the attempt as described on screen.

Scoring

Points use exact callsign copy, speed, answer time, and repeat use. Correct answers increase speed in adaptive modes; incorrect answers reduce it. Verified leaderboards accept only eligible server-backed attempts and retain classification context.
