CW Keys Data Quality Policy
Effective date: February 23, 2026. This policy describes how CW key listings are sourced, scanned, reviewed, and published.
1. Source Priority
Manufacturer-owned pages and official dealer pages are the primary source of truth. Community submissions are treated as suggestions and are always reviewed before publication.
- Primary: official manufacturer product/catalog pages
- Secondary: approved distributor pages when official pages are incomplete
- Tertiary: user submissions and issue reports for correction proposals
2. Automated Scan + Human Approval
Automated scanners detect candidate model additions, missing-model signals, and price changes. No scanner output is published directly.
- Each detected change enters an admin review queue.
- Admin chooses Approve & Apply or Dismiss for each change.
- Public pages show only approved updates.
3. Price Display Rules
When no reliable numeric price is published by the manufacturer, listings do not show guessed values.
Fallback text: Price is available upon contacting manufacturer.
If a numeric price is detected, the directory records currency and the latest observed check date.
4. Monitoring and Alerting
The admin dashboard tracks pending review counts, stale auto-scan CW key manufacturers, warning/error outcomes, and repeated scan failures.
- In-app alert cards summarize active issues.
- Email digests are sent for significant alert states with cooldown protection.
- Admins can rescan a CW key manufacturer immediately from the scan dashboard.
5. Corrections and Disputes
If a listing is incorrect or outdated, use CW Keys Directory reporting tools so the item enters the review workflow.
Manufacturer ownership changes, product discontinuations, and availability notices are applied after verification from authoritative sources.
